Dave Beasley's Experience:
-
Vice President Marketing at ADT Home Security | Home Automation (Defender Direct)
October 2013 - October 2014Defender Direct is the largest authorized retailer for ADT residential home security in the United States. Privately owned Defender delivers more volume to ADT than ALL other dealers combined. As Vice President of Marketing, I managed an energetic, talented and dedicated team of directors and marketing channel managers responsible for driving more than 250,000 qualified and profitable leads each year while utilizing integrated marketing campaigns across traditional media (print, radio), direct response, shared mail and digital marketing channels (SEO, content, social, pay per click, email). In the past year, we quickly established a growing lead generation sales funnel that delivered company records in conversion and total installations (Q3). Record-setting profits are on the way (Q4). In addition to traditional professionally installed / monitored residential home security, I've developed marketing strategies for emerging MDU and 'DIY (Do it Yourself)' segments as well the lucrative and quickly emerging home automation and connected home market niche.
-
Vice President Marketing at CMA Communications
December 2001 - September 2013CMA Communications was an independent, privately-owned, stable and innovative $40M telecom provider that delivered an enviable product portfolio to mostly rural residential and commercial markets. In addition to developing and driving company strategy, my team owned all aspects of the marketing, content negotiation, customer service and sales mix to deliver improving revenue and operating income. In 2012, 48% of our Gross Margin was derived from products that we launched during my tenure. I embraced the challenge of being part of a small business team, especially the opportunity to contribute in all functional areas--marketing, programming, sales, customer service, billing, accounting, finance, legal, public affairs and technical operations. We had a unique culture. CMA was sold to NewWave Communications in May, 2013.
-
Director Product Management at AT&T
October 1996 - December 2001Chicago-based Ameritech New Media (ANM)Venture was launched in 1996 to accelerate expansion into cable television and broadband markets. Our business unit paved the way for competition in cable television. These properties were sold to Wide Open West (WOW) in late 2001. Today, AT&T still utilizes many leanings to aggressively drive U-verse performance past 2M customers. ANM become the largest competitive cable operator in the nation with over 110 franchises and 312,000 customers as well as the 13th largest cable television operator ($200M annual revenue). In 2001. My team of 7 talented product managers delivered industry-best revenue per customer of video product line (Cable TV, HBO, pay-per-view, VOD, etc.) by using all aspects of the marketing channel mix in a start up mode. And we successfully negotiated and managed programming contract relationships for over 120 channels of video programming.
